New work practices have been designed and adapted for test specialists to be better organized for collaborative projects. We asked IT teams to give us their successful working methods.
𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞: Communicate regularly.
It is important 𝚝𝚘 𝚒𝚗𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖 colleagues about the project and your own tasks progress. It is always beneficial to know where colleagues are in order 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚍𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 one's own schedule and to be aware of the evolution of the project.
𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞: Centralize each decision and information in writing and prioritize them.
Sometimes information gets lost in conversations. It is also necessary 𝚝𝚘 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚎 details that are crucial in the development of the project. ‘The words fly away, the writings remain!’
𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞: Staying organized and questioning the work organization. Sometimes, it is necessary 𝚝𝚘 𝚛𝚎𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚣𝚎 the work structure, even if the current organization works. It is always good to renew the methods to give a new breath to collaborative work, and it is not recommended to wait until a problem arises to change the way things are done.
𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞: Remain vigilant on employees activity. This rule should not be viewed with malice! Sometimes we miss details, and a fresh eye on the situation can help. Having feedback on our work is gratifying and allows us to move forward with confidence in the project.
And you, what are your recommendations to work on collaborative projects ?
