Weekly 0021

Monday

After a bad weekend, from physically point of view, today is a good day and full of energy (at least until the morning).

I started the morning to organize my activities of the day in my new Digital Garden template.
It worked very well!

I came to the office to meet two-three colleagues of mine for the first time. We worked together in some projects, but we never met in person.

By the way I worked on Red Origin and I wasted 30 minutes on a stupid Visual Studio 2022 intellisense bug.
It told me that there is a syntax error, but it wasn’t a real error. Just in Visual Studio syntax highlighting.

I need to refactor a lot of code… ☹️

In the afternoon I came back to home and I worked for Red Origin, on the key rotation features.
I have to solve some little issues, but now it works very well.

I added a refactor task to my todo list πŸ™‚

Tuesday

I spent more or less all the day on a ???bug??? in an Azure Function in Red Origin project. I tried to fix it for many hours without success.
At the end I decided to insert a technical debt but having the function up&running.
I will come back on it in the future.
It seems there is an issue to implement the dependency injection of the DbContext in an Azure Function with an external DLL.

By the way I closed the feature branch for this specific feature. πŸ™‚

Wednesday

I started the morning working and finalizing my Notion template about a note-taking system. I will share with the others templates this Friday.

Then I worked on a single slide for our startup Oscar, an investor asked to us to make a diagram of our product flow. I hate to work on slides πŸ˜‚

After that I worked (and I am working) on the UI of Red Origin. I need to improve that and I started to work on the navigation and on the basic layout.
Then I will change the subpages.

I also published my blog post about my journey as LinkedIn Technical Instructor.

Thursday

This morning I work on Red Origin UI. I had some issues with Sass and Visual Studio 2022 and I lost half an hour on it.
At the end I figured it out.

After lunch I had a meeting with my boss about one of our new product called Network Guardian.
We delivered the product to a customer a few weeks ago and this morning my boss delivered the reports based on the data that I collect in our product.

It looked good!
I also added two/three features for the next version in the future.

Friday

Woke up very early with a good news.
We have been accepted in the Microsoft Startups Program.

There are a lot of benefits in this program!

When you complete the registration, there are more benefits inside the program!

Still worked on Red Origin, in the UI part of the project.
I fought for half an hour with Sass but at the end, I won.

Now the app looks like in the screenshot below.

I like it, it’s better than before, more clear πŸ™‚
