LinkedIn Online service provider company whose parent organization is Microsoft.
Basically it is a social media application where recruiters post jobs and interested people can apply for the job. Many HR's will send you connection requests and will offer a job interview you just need to go through the job description and if you want to apply you can. Further process [interview rounds] is then handled by the company you applied in.
Everyone has profile which can be filled up with basic information and can also be customized.
Value Of LinkedIn profile
Whenever you apply for a job the probability of recruiter checking your profile is very high. Based on that they offer/call for scheduling an interview with you. This itself describes the importance of LinkedIn profile.
All you basic information [job experience in any / profile photos / Summary / Skills / Education etc] should be filled up in a neat and truthful manner.
You can also add different sections to your profile where you can link your other social profiles, achievements, your resume and many other things.
Connections In LinkedIn
Here in LinkedIn the format is little different than Instagram where there are only followers and following.
Linked has connections:
- 1st connection
- 2nd connection
- 3rd connection
So what are connections in LinkedIn ? Its pretty simple lets begin
1st Connections
So these are people with whom you are directly connected that's the people in your contact list or the people to whom you sent connection request and they accepted it.
2nd Connections
So these are people with whom you are indirectly connected that's
the connections on your 1st connections. You don't have any direct connection with them until and unless your sent connection request is accepted by them.
3rd Connections
These are people unknown to you and unknown to your connections as well.
