Putting together the environment in the game is full of challenges but also exciting stuff. The cemetery setting is a blend of vibrant colors and spookiness. Purple ambient lighting did a great job on making the environment mysterious but also less serious. This game is all about fun!! No violence, except for a ton of giant knives trying to stab you. 100 % no gore, only on food recipes!
The Main Menu Environment
Home screen showcases the logo which is in 2D. The setting is a cemetery enveloped by fog and green ghost orbs. Can't be more spooky than that!
The transition is a fun wall of booties slightly twerking.
Play Screen Layout
The main game screen is in isometric view. It does a simple zooming in and out at the moment. I'm planning to expand the camera capabilities to make the game play more dynamic or giving the player more navigation options. On the upper left, the kill score and kill points are being displayed. At the top of the screen, the orders are being queued accordingly as you progress on delivering food.The timer at the bottom will be one of the biggest challenges the player will face, as it determines if you fail the order or not.
Cooking Challenge UI
When orders start to come in, player can interact with the stove to start the cooking. That would trigger the Ingredients icon and the Recipe book icon. In the ingredients, it will open the ingredients grid. In here, player will have to choose the correct ingredients for the recipe to fulfill the orders.
Recipe Book SlideWindow
If player triggers the recipe book icon, this giant menu will slide from the right side of the screen to give the list of ingredients needed per recipes.
