Hello! I was skimming through the internet when I found myself all knowledge-peckish. Lucky for me I found this place hidden in a dark alleyway when I was asking around about how to set up a development environment on my pc. The algorithm moves in mysterious ways indeed!

Hi fellow developers! An honor meeting you here. I studied Environmental Engineering and have been working with Remote Sensing (writing programs to interpret satellite images with JS and python in Google Earth Engine and TensorFlow). This gave me an affinity for Google Cloud based products. Ever since my wife needed a web app for her nutrition clinic, I started to dig into WebDev. I like to work with Vue/Angular and Firebase.

My name is Luke. I am an aspiring software developer and in the process of "self-teaching". I currently work full time in a warehouse in Minnesota. I have decided I need a change and want to learn the skills required to start applying for jobs as a software developer. I am hoping I can do this without a college degree, so I am devoting all my spare time towards learning. I worked for several years as a computer repair technician and have been around/inside computers most of my life but I have never mustered the gumption to delve the programming rabbit hole.

I started my journey about a month ago with C#. I am currently using YouTube, a few books, SoloLearn and CodeWars to learn and practice. I signed up to be a part of dev.to in the hopes that connecting with other like-minded individuals would teach me a lot and help in progressing towards my goal of becoming a software developer. If you know of any learning resources or have any tips, I would be grateful for any and all suggestions. I really like the content I am seeing on the site as well as the positivity, I hope I will be able to contribute to both in the days to come.
