My name is Luke. I am an aspiring software developer and in the process of "self-teaching". I currently work full time in a warehouse in Minnesota. I have decided I need a change and want to learn the skills required to start applying for jobs as a software developer. I am hoping I can do this without a college degree, so I am devoting all my spare time towards learning. I worked for several years as a computer repair technician and have been around/inside computers most of my life but I have never mustered the gumption to delve the programming rabbit hole.
I started my journey about a month ago with C#. I am currently using YouTube, a few books, SoloLearn and CodeWars to learn and practice. Abe here from Pakistan. Been working as a professional ghostwriter for the past five years. I'm twenty-six now, and I think I've run my course with ghostwriting. Now I wanna write for my own self. But more importantly, I wanna get back into the coding game, that whole lifestyle.
I have an education in computer science (dropped out in the 6th semester because of a scuffle between me and the Head of Department who wanted me to work on his PhD networking/IOT project and not work on my own bachelor's level AI project and I didn't actually wanna do that so I was like, "Peace out hombres") and love, love, love programming, coding, web development, and anything that pops up all multicolored on a black IDE screen.
It's been one week since I've gotten back into development, and so far I've covered (or, rather, re-covered) my HTML5 and CSS3 basics.
I work as a business development lead at AlphaSquad, which is a JavaScript firm in Pakistan with its headquarters in USA.
To date, I've ghostwritten around 150 books in both the fiction and the non-fiction categories. Horror is my forte, fantasy second, science-fiction third, and romance fourth.
I absolutely love learning new things, which is why I named my blog Abe Learning Things. I've written over three-hundred Bukowski/Raymond Carver inspired poems there.

I wanna get in touch with newbie devs and amateurs such as myself so we can interact, collaborate, communicate, and share our ideas with each other.
The stack that I want to learn is MERN, because, let's face it, JavaScript is a safe bet for at least the next decade or so, and React ain't going nowhere.

I'm Matt from Colorado, a career restaurant professional learning web development since June '20. Aside from my history in restaurants I am a dedicated problem-solver, with a BA in Sociology and a certification for photovoltaic installation (solar panels). I've been interested in learning to code for quite some time, and with a little nudge from the pandemic coupled with the current state of restaurant work (spoiler: I'm over it), I am super motivated and excited to become a part of your community!
Since I started studying Codecademy's web development and edX's CS50 courses a few months ago (among many other resources) I've fallen in love with the dynamic problem-solving nature of JavaScript, and I'm trying to resist the urge to jump into Python before I've gotten really comfortable with js. Recently I've been working with React and it's been as fun as it's been challenging!

Hi, my name is Marc. I have been learning full stack web development at the Flatiron School for the past seven months, and a self-taught programmer long before that. My first foray into web development was editing my Xanga and MySpace profile pages via some truly awful HTML and CSS. A few years later I built my own website for my friends and I to post some articles we had written. When I worked in New York, I helped maintain several WordPress sites for the businesses I worked with. After moving to China, I would on occasion build a website or do some design work for friends. I usually charged a good steak or a bottle of gin. When I had some free time, I would pick up the occasional job via UpWork.
After deciding to return to the United States, I started to look into coding full time. I landed on Flatiron School due to their reputation, how they assemble their cohorts (classes) to maximize the number of people with different backgrounds, and their location near my apartment in the Financial District of New York.
Currently, as I am ending my program in the next few months, I am looking to see what is out there, meet some new people in the field, and potentially make a small name for myself in the web community.
