We want to say a huge thank you to all of our beta testers in the last couple of months. You’ve helped us find lots of issues and it’s been fantastic seeing how different people from all sorts of industries have been using Unreal Engine Pixel Streaming to deliver unique experiences. It’s given us lots to think about in terms of future features!

New Pricing

From the 1st June we’ll be enabling billing for everyone on Make Live. Upon logging in for the first time you’ll be asked to enter a credit/debit card to continue and in return we’ll credit your account with US$10. We’ll then invoice on the first of every month.

To coincide with these changes we’ll also be tweaking our prices to ensure the best value for our customers. The changes are as follows:

GPU Previous price per minute New price per minute
NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 1080Ti US$0.03 US$0.022
NVIDIA® GeForce™ RTX 3080 US$0.035 US$0.032
NVIDIA® GeForce™ RTX 3090 US$0.042 US$0.048

These prices do not include local taxes that may be applicable.

New “Always On” Feature

Since the European Beta went live one of the most requested features was to have a limited amount of servers always running so that wait times were reduced. We’re delighted to announce that from the 1st June you’ll be able to set a number of “Always On” instances to achieve this. As a project owner, you’re in full control of this can adjust your “Always On” and “On Demand” instances.

In the future we hope to expand on this feature and enable you to schedule when your “Always On” instances are created.

New “Empty Instance Scale Down” Feature

We’re also introducing a new feature to give you more control over how quickly server instances will be terminated after the last person leaves. During the European Beta we’ve had this fixed at one minute but from 1st June you’ll be able to change this for yourself. This means if you don’t want to commit to an “Always On” instance you can make sure your “On Demand” instances will be up and running a lot longer to handle any demand.

New Make Live Features in App

To the Future

Once again, we want to thank everyone who took part in the beta and we’re looking forward to the next stage of Make Live. We have some exciting features coming in the future and we can’t wait to show you when they’re ready.

Please get in touch if you have any feedback. You can find us on Twitter at @MakeLiveHQ.
