*Steps to Add Number of Years to Date or Subtract Years from Date: *

Let’s see the steps to add the number of years to date or subtract years from a date with the help of Kutools.

  • In the following image, you can see the example date list. We are going to add or subtract the number of years from each date on that list.

  • You need to select a cell where you want to display the result.
  • Then, go to the Kutools Tab, select the Formula Helper option, choose the Add years to date option from the menu.

  • It will open the *Formula Helper dialog box. *
  • In that dialog box, select the Add years to date option from Choose a Formula box.
  • You need to select a date cell to which you want to add years using the button given in the Date time input box.
  • In the Number box, you need to *enter the number of years * that you want to add to the selected date.
  • Click the OK button.

  • Now, you can get the result in the selected cell. Then, you need to drag it down to fill the remaining cells.

Note:

  • If you want to subtract the number of years from date, you need to give the negative number ( For example, -3 , -5, -8) in the Number text box in the Formula Helper dialog box.

Add Number of Months to Date or Subtract Months from Date:

To add or subtract the number of months to date, do as follows.

  • In the following image, you can see the example date list. We are going to add or subtract the number of months from each date on that list.

  • You need to select a cell where you want to display the result.
  • Then, go to the Kutools Tab, select the Formula Helper option, choose the Add months to date option under the Date & Time option.

  • It will open the *Formula Helper dialog box. *
  • In that dialog box, select the Add months to date option from Choose a Formula box.
  • You need to select a date cell to which you want to add months using the button given in the Date time input box.

  • Hit the OK button.
