Professional : Kept running into issue while working on the demo application for work. One was that apparently Web Components don't like to be cloned from a template and placed into the DOM. It was weird, they would show up, but I couldn't get it to actually send and or show messages. It wasn't until I spoke with my coworker who made the iOS version of the app, that I saw that it was actually sending messages because they could see it in the app. Maybe like 10-15 minutes more of debugging, I narrowed it down to me cloning the template that had the Web Components in it. I suspect that it probably has something to do with the Shadow DOM. I'll have to investigate at a later date. Then I ran into an issue where the messages I get from the back end aren't the same format that the Web Component expects. I'll have to figure out how to reformat it to work. Also found out that you can have group messages, so I'll have to add that functionality. I thought it was just one on one chats. I'll have to figure out how to implement it into my design.
Personal : Last night, did some more work on my side project. I was able to style the chat and questions sections and start on the request to speak feature. I ended the night watching some anime. The Demon Slayer movie turned out to be one that I already saw. It was labeled new for some reason in the app. Ended up watching an anime I've been trying to catch up on.
So I got a set of pants that I ordered online. I wanted to get one to make sure it fits. It does. It's pretty nice and has a bunch of pockets for when I travel. Going to order a few more for my trip. Speaking of my trip, I really need to get my plane ticket. With everything going on, got to keep the hope that I'll finally be able to go to Europe! Going to work some more on my side project and maybe watch an anime episode.
