Day 951 : Walk Away

liner notes:

  • Professional : So... started the day off with a meeting. Then I reviewed a PR for some new docs. Spent the rest of the day working on my project. Definitely hit a wall when I tried to use an external library. The issue I'm running into is that my code is running in the browser which uses ES6 imports, but the external library is using CommonJS. There are other libraries that you can use make it work, but I'm not trying to load up a bunch of other stuff like bundlers. Trying to keep it as simple as possible. It wasn't until the end of the day, that I thought to check if I could create it myself. Did some quick research and it doesn't look that bad. Especially for my use case. I'll work on it tomorrow.

  • Personal : Last night was pretty productive. Went through some tracks for the radio show. Converted some hotel points to airline miles. Did some research for my upcoming trip. Tried to get a sample app I made up and running, but kept running into a weird issue. I want to use it as a base for my new side project. Sidenote: I think I found a cool domain name for it, and it's relatively cheap. It was pretty late that I figured out that I needed a .env file with some environment variables. I just had to walk away and work on it the next day. I have no clue what happened with that file. While I was trying to figure that out, I had "X-Men: The Animated Series" on in the background.

In the foreground of the picture, there are several wildflowers in focus. The flowers are pink and white, and they are growing in a field of tall grass. The grass is a light brown color, and it is blowing in the wind. The picture is taken from a low angle, and it is looking up at the flowers. The flowers are delicate and beautiful, and they are a reminder of the beauty of nature. The picture is peaceful and serene, and it invites viewers to relax and enjoy the beauty of the moment. The location of the picture is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan, USA.

Kept running the prospective domain name in my head through out the day, and I still like it. I think I'll pick it up later tonight. Going to go through Bandcamp to look for some tracks to buy and work on the social media posts. I want to create the .env file to get my sample application working so I can create a starter to be used for my next side project. Need to start booking hotels and flight for my upcoming trip. A lot of stuff to do. Good thing I'm writing up a list. Going to eat dinner and get started.

Have a great night!

peace piece
