Professional : Had our team meeting. It was good to see everyone. Had another meeting to catch up on a project I've been helping with. Got to verify something was fixed on a new SDK that will be coming out that I used in a demo. Then I worked on finishing up a blog post that I've been writing. Mostly getting images and code snippets completed.
Personal : Last night, I checked out some tracks for the radio show. I watched the final episode of an anime that I don't remember the name of. It has to do with magic and a guy who's head was replaced with a lizard. haha I thought I had finished it, but there looks like a bonus episode of short stories was released. To end the night, I went through a guide to set up a NodeJS project on Google Cloud. Previously, I've been using Firebase, but I think I'll need a server that won't go to sleep after inactivity. It was pretty straight forward and I got it working. I even was able to not use a dependency that was in the guide because it's not needed with newer versions of the library used. It was a good chance to learn how things work on the backend. Looking forward to building and deploying more complex applications.
Going to set up the media server project on Google Cloud. From the documentation and videos I've seen, it seems not too bad to get running locally. I haven't seen anything on how to deploy to Google Cloud. Hoping it's not much more than what was needed to get the sample application from last night working. If I get it working, you could say I'll be on "cloud" 9, amirite? haha I'll probably watch an episode of "Boruto" over dinner and check out some packages that came in. I want to go through some tracks submitted for the radio show as well.
