Hey y'all! π
Another week down, hope it went well for ya! π
Looking back on this past week, what was something you were proud of accomplishing?
...
For further actions, you may consider blocking this person and/or reporting abuse
3 weeks no cigarettes.
Thanks to all those that responded especially former smokers. Lets go get this win.
Yeaaaaaaaah congrats!
That's a tough one, but you're almost to the month mark. That was the wall for me...but once I got through that first month, I was done...16 years this year after 20+ of the habit.
Keep it up!
Thanks we will see if it sticks this time.
That is freaking awesome and I'm sure it's not easy! Good stuff, Stefan β you got this. π€π₯π€
Thanks gave up drinking about 10 years ago remaining vice that's hard to break.
I quited smoke last year, around this time of the year, after smoking 15 years. I had so many thoughts it would be boring and hard to live. It wasn't after like a month or two.
People say you will always be addicted to it even if you quit. But it isn't really like that. I think about it some times, but not in the way i need to smoke. More like; this situation reminds me about when i smoked, then i move on super easy.
With that said. Just stay away from situations that reminds you about cigarettes, it will become easier for each day. And you will be proud. Every one can quit, even heroinists can quit!
Awesome, keep it going, we'll be cheering you on :)

π I received two badges! β¨
Good work! Keep it up.
What an excellent discussion post, Anita! I just dropped a reply.
Congrats on the badges by the way. 16 weeks straight β woot woot!! π
I wrote 2 posts on the fundamentals of Quantum theory and Quantum Computers. Although I'm paranoid about getting the Math right :). Maybe it's a bit off-topic for DEV, idk.
Btw, I'm still a Physics student, do correct me if I screw up somewhere.
Totally welcome content!
Pretty good week for me.
Been developing a simple SSG system, and made good progress on it. It works. Just ironing out some minor issues now.
Also managed to write two articles since the last "What was your win" post.

You've been sharing some REALLY good ones! I loved the Cult of Done one. I think I need to apply those points to my music production so I can get some more done!
Thanks for the kind words, Michael!
My wins this week:
Right on, Monty! Good stuff all around.
I really hope that the job searching goes well for ya. I know you've been working hard and learning loads. I know I'd like to have you as a teammate!
By the way, I haven't forgotten about your offer to provide feedback on some of my music. I have a new song that I've written called "Howling at the Moonlight" and just need to get a good recording of it. Once I do, I'll have to send it your way!
Thanks, Michael, that means a lot!
I look forward to hearing the song. A rough recording is good enough. When you send it, do let me know what you are open to changing - words, melody, concepts, arrangement, etc.
Right on! I'll give it some thought and let you know for sure. And I'll try to send you a recording soon... glad to know rough will cut it for ya!
I wrote chapter 2 of Data Science in .NET with Polyglot Notebooks.
I also emceed a very good February meeting of the Central Ohio .NET Developers Group and got to do a lot of casual mentoring in the little conversations before and after.
Ooo very nice! Hope the book writing keeps on going well.
Me too. I enjoy it so much more than recording content for courses. Also, my wins weren't over apparently; I'll be giving a talk on 10 weeks on technical debt and Refactoring at my local dev conference: Stir Trek.
I got 1000 followers on dev.to!!!
Booyah!!! π
I put up a new post after like a month or so. The TL;DR is that I wrote a python script to spam a phishing site with made-up information. This way if they managed to capture any real information it would be hidden among tons of fake information.

This is so freaking cool!! Loving this idea, hahaha!
Holy cow, I completely missed this and looks like others did too. That's a shame... I'll see if I can help you get more attention on it. I really like this kinda post!
I appreciate it!
Almost finishing the power automate tutorial. Almost all set to share the last article next week :-)..
Awww yeah, Bala! β·
I got picked as Sharpie of the Month at SheSharp! :) It's a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping women and non-binary people break into tech. Here's my interview: shesharp.co/post/february-sharpie-...
This is sooo dope, Christine! And well-deserved too. Good stuff!
The one that really stands out for me this week is managing to fix a weird Powershell variable issue for an upcoming script I'm working on with trying to pass a variable correctly.
First I got the syntax wrong and then the variable wouldn't pass correctly. Fought for about 30 mins trying to understand and then realised I could make it a function.
My Friday lunchtime win for the week
We fix these things not because they're easy, but because we thought they'd be easy.
Haha, that sounds like a good one! Always nice when ya crack a puzzle like that.
Posting an article despite a crazy schedule at work π
Heck yeah! Good on ya for getting one in there, Ndeye. π
I am growing my car video game website more and plan to grow it further
This week I've shared a longly awaited dataset for opt-nc : a ready to us Kaggle dataset that brings together various open data source (APIs, data,...) to help people build on top of them.
To show how to use these data, and be as inclusive as possible, I've created an original Notebook so anyon can enoy the data and learn datascience.

Now, I'm working to publish other datasets to create a complete collection.
Shipped an update to my iOS game. GameCenter integration was fun to add, and I'm hoping it brings a new level of interaction for folks.
I'm also getting beaten at my own game and have a terrible hi-score LOL
After studying for months, I have finally passed the AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification exam!

I got a position in the latest project using my jav framework vuejs and lavarel (I haven't use lavarel)
My wins this week are:
Started a project that when fully realized should totally shake up the US electorate. Taking power from one hand and placing it in 1 million hands.
Made some s'getti sauce from scratch and was expecting more from the time invested. Still, I will no longer resort to the jar, just as I will stick with coding!
This week, I went to the gym for the first time in 2024.
Independently finishing a complex ticket before deadline.
I updated both the Android and iOS apps for my SaaS application. I try to keep them up-to-date, but they often lag behind the web-based version by a couple of weeks.
I published my first post!
