I mainly post my Instagram reels there, they seem to go down much better on IG (two of my reels are on nearly 200K views on IG and only a few thousand on TT) but it's fun either way

I genuinely never realised anyone used tiktok for anything apart from miming along to songs I don't like. It never even occurred to me that people might use it for tech. I know someone made a bunch of instagram "post-its" with tips on them, which was cool.

Tbh I used it for two weeks and uninstalled it not long after. People have said you have to 'give it a chance' to get to know you but all I saw was high tier cringe and lowest common denominator content. I much prefer twitter and this site for dev content. I think the short snappy nature of TikTok just promotes less in depth content. I also have worries about how data is mined on that app. I mean I know they're all at it but TikTok does seem to give a deeper level of access to your phone from what I have read.
Tldr - not my thing, don't get the appeal, worried about how the app mines data.

Honestly, I am not into TikTok or Snapchat and I also do not like it, because nowadays it is just bullcr*p content.
I used to until it was banned in my country. It was a bit distractive, psychologically but I do miss the "cool tech hacks" type of videos :D
