๐ŸŠConfigureGator, is it a good idea?

Configure-what-now?

Never heard of it? I'm not surprised!
I have been working in secret on a SAAS product called... ๐Ÿฅ da da da ๐ŸŽต

๐ŸŠ ConfigureGator
Snap-on interactive cart system

I asked developers if they wanted to join my side hustle, and although Initial response was good, it mainly showed me what worked and what didn't. I still believe there is no configurator as a service, no 3D shopping experience, and no security first platform to protect your IP and products before launch. I think that's what we are shooting for.

But why?

When I worked at Dyson, the websites product had a huge configurable requirement. Red blue gree, purple and pink components all that, sometimes these customisable parts where in common with other products, yet replicating this on a new product was a huge bit of work. Also juggling the secretive nature of products not yet released, I knew about products before the public and with one false click I could basically loose my job I would imagine.

A generated configurator and accompanying admin UI will empower sellers to provide interactive shopping experiences beyond just a simple image, VR and metaversal shopping (no not Facebook) is the future!
ConfigureGator will protect your products by only supporting integration with popular Identity providers, your unpublished products will be encrypted and stored in the cloud.
ConfigureGator will support visual scripting to extend the shopping experience for a future where programming is more about using an engine to show off a product, much as unreal engine is how many games are made.

So is it a good idea?

Are you a Svelte fan? Want to make a start-up? Get in touch!
Oh yes and our backend is kotlin so if you like that, equally get in touch!

How do we get in touch? I have been working with kotlin for about 2 years ( mainly for android, But did some personal exercise on springboot with kotlin, and ktor) . I am mostly a backend developer but I am learning sveltekit as new year resolution.

Hi Abhinav, so to be upfront at the moment it's just me building this thing, CG is my side thing and it doesn't pay well, I mean it doesn't pay at all, but it's probably great experience and I'm sure if it takes off that will lead to something, I'm not sure what that is yet

The backend uses Kotlin Quarkus on the GraalVM I'm a couple of days off of finishing moving everything into docker so it's easier for others to work on.

I promise I will get in touch again when it's ready to be worked on ๐Ÿ˜Š
