Working from home is slowly becoming living with work. There are no boundaries anymore - sometimes you're working 12 hours and sometimes you're dozing off for 12 hours.

Neither is healthy for you!

So let me ask you, have you been taking care of yourself? And your health? Are you giving time to your family? How do you handle distractions?

Let's discuss below 👇

But more importantly, let this post be a healthy reminder to you. A reminder to think good and do good 🌻

I think after reading articles about taking care of your health in dev.to, we plan to take care but may be we don't. And below happens:

Developer X: He is fixing production bug, or maybe he is doing interesting hackathon with deadline approaching. So he says just 10 minutes I will just write another 10 lines of code and then go for a walk.

Developer Y: He is implementing a new feature or fixing a bug. He says its been 45 min , so lets take short brake and go for a walk or do some sit ups exercise, talk to family, look outside at nature etc...

Here Developer Y made a wise decision. 😄 , he will come back and proceed with his work with more clear mind.

What's important ?

Fixing a production bug or attending a important meeting are important but Taking a break in between to do exercise and managing work life balance wisely is more important than anything. New or Junior Software Developers are so exited to code in beginning and they need this health tip in early stage of their career.

Next time when you have thought to sit for few minutes more and code, then JUST GET UP and go for a walk.

Lets not just read, LETS DO IT. 😄

I have lost a bunch of weight since transitioning to remote work... but now I also need to address back pain. Trying stretches and generally increasing my physical activity levels as a start.
