I'm struggling to think of something new I learned today. This doesn't seem like a good thing... I guess I could say I started learning canvas, but I'm still in the trial and error and cross referencing the docs with random written tutorials phase

I learned the basics of using Jekyll (the static site generator that Github uses for Github Pages). It's not without its flaws, and is certainly not the most flexible thing in the world. However, if you're willing to stick within its guard rails, the developer experience with it is awesome!

GitHub makes creating your own content so liberating. It is so easy to get your own small space on the internet for very little $$.

I recently learned how to use GitHub actions, which enable you to run anything and commit it back to the repo! My site is built with gatsby using GitHub actions.
