My relationship with meetups has had its share of up and downs. I have been attending for about 4 years now.
In the beginning I would rarely speak to anyone. I would anxiously eat my pizza before fleeing out the door as soon as the presenter wrapped up!
The last few years I have gradually come out of my shell and learnt to deal with my imposter syndrome.
I'm now loving meetups and the opportunities to talk to new people! I try to attend 1 per week. Last week, I even had the chance to volunteer at the brand new CSS Melbourne meetup!
