Howdy! I'm Stephen. I am a staff engineer at a non-profit trying to work in the progressive ecosystem to make a difference in 2020. I'm currently working in Golang but have worked in js/node, various frontend stacks, Ruby and Java. I've lead teams, departments and been a individual contributor.

This is my favorite picture of my cat Tony. He was very confused when all the furniture was gone when I was moving.

the tony

He looks like the kind of cat that has his own favorite chair.

Hello Stephen!! Your cat is adorable :]

tony is awesome. i love him.

You cat is adorable! He sort of reminds me of one of my cat Orian. He likes to harass me as soon as I pull my Mac out lol

Hey everyone, finally got around to joining while ignoring my remote standup meeting, lol.

Standups are important... dev.to more so.

Hello everyone πŸ‘‹
Hope everyone are safe with your family.
I am very excited to meet all tech people around the globe and upgrade myself to the new technologies.
Lets build and take the community to next level of learning platform 😊

Hello Devs!

Great to be part of dev.to

I'm currently working on huntr.dev - an open source bug bounty board.
Come and have a chat about open source security!

I do more of the design, marketing, and frontend HTML and Javascript - but I am constantly increasing my developer knowledge by reading your articles (thank you), watching videos, and taking Codecademy courses when I get the time!

Software development is fun as hell.

Fun fact about me - I can do a Rubik's cube in under 20 seconds :P

Woot! And open source bug bounty board is a really cool idea. Welcome to DEV! πŸ˜€

Hello and welcome to Dev.to Community ! πŸ‘‹πŸΌπŸ˜‰

huntr.dev seems like a great idea!

Is there a word missing here: "Find and fix open source vulnerabilities - be recognised for protecting millions developers and organisations!"

Yes, yes there is... thank you :)

Hello Guys,

I am Pawan working as an Automation Engineer and living in Germany these days. I would like to thank all of you for sharing and contributing knowledge/ learnings thorough the articles here :)
These days I am learning about the React Js and Planning to redesign my website in the coming months.

Have a nice day!

Awesome! Do you have a link to your site?

Hi Mikel,

Here it is: pawangaria.com/

I use this website to write some of my learnings for the people.

Hi everyone!

My name is Maciej, I'm 15-years-old high school student from Kielce, Poland. I want to become a full-stack web developer in the future.

I decided to create a dev.to account to document the process behind making my projects, as well as my overall approach to creating web apps.

My technology stack currently consists of: Node.js, Express, MongoDB/PostgreSQL and Vue.js, however I like experimenting with other solutions too.

With that said, nice to meet you all!

I know you experienced a saga of account sign in issues recently trying to regain access to an older DEV account... just to say you're awesome and incredibly patient, Maciej! πŸ˜€

It's absolutely fine, because we were looking at the wrong account the entire time. And still, this is kind of a... reboot now, which makes it all even more exciting, definitely worth the wait.

And huge s/o to you and Andy of course.

Hello everyone! πŸ™Œ I’m a student at Codesmith in NYC. My production project team has spent the week ideating on developing a front end developer tool that would address a need/gap in the community. So far, we’ve come up with some ideas (micro frontends library/convertor for Vue and React; prototype tool for Svelte). If anybody has any suggestions/tips/guidance on problems/issues/challenges related to these technologies, please let me know! I’m all earsπŸ‘‚

Hello everyone. I'm interested in cs for good few years now. Python is my language of choice. At the moment i'm building my first web app in flask/bootstrap combo. At some stage I would like to dip my toe in data science possibly but since it's a hobby there's no pressure.

That's awesome that you are pursuing this as a hobby! Hopefully this will be a good resource for you! It's always good to have passionate people in the industry!

Hello fellow coders. Proud and happy to be in this community.

Hello everybody. My name's Hans.I'm undergraduate student in software engineering but I spend my time to gain skills personally also.Natively, I speak French cause I'm Beninese, but I'm working in order to speak English fluently .I like data science , so I'm learning Python , i'm also passionnated about technologies like Django. My goal is to be a freelancer developper.

Hello devs πŸ‘‹. so happy to be part of this community

Hello guys, I am Emmanuel or Manu from Nairobi, Kenya.
I have just started teaching myself coding. I have started out with Python and R and I have also done a bit of HTML.
ANy assistance or guidance in this new path will be highly welcome.

Hi πŸ‘‹, I'm Elio and work as an independent Belgium-based Engineering Lead, Blogger eliostruyf.com, and Public Speaker for Valo Intranet.

I work in the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint space. Something most of you don't like ☺️. These days it is actually incredibly fun, as things are so rapidly changing in it. Every day there's something new to learn, and finally started to use the latest and greatest.

Coding is a passion, as most of us share here most probably. My preferred language is TypeScript, but also dare to use C#. On my GitHub profile, you can find various of my hobby projects. Like for instance the VSCode extension to manage front matter of my static site: Front Matter Extension or an extension to easily export TypeScript modules: TypeScript Export All Modules. These are just two of the many other projects you find there.

Besides coding I have a passion for Lego and stickers (even created a side hustle during this crisis called: Pimp Your Own Device.

Hello everyone πŸ‘‹,

I am a software engineer from Lima. I started doing backend development with Java, then Python and now I am doing some frontend work with JavaScript and Vue.

My favorite backend language is Python. My favorite frontend framework is React.

Happy to be part of this community.

Hello, my name is Agang Dut and I've been coding for about 4 years now. I've visited this site a couple of times but I never made an account for whatever reason, but this is an awesome community of devs. I'm working on StreamIntra, a peer to peer coding platform to encourage more people to get into development. Thank you!

Hello. My name is Ayush. I am a first year student. I like relating computer field to the world. Universe is made of laws and its own system. It's uncanny that universe looks like a computer program if we reduce it to very, very small scale. Is it coincidence?

Hello everybody It's my pleasure to be here I'm new to javascript and in first step I wanna change a static website created by java script into a bilingual website. Would you please recommend some helpful titles to easily do the project.

Hi, I am Bhavsagar from Delhi, I am a self-taught developer.
Happy to be a part of Dev.to

I am currently using Reactjs, Nodejs, ElasticSearch and other various web development technologies to develop Cyber Security projects.

Hello people! Happy to join the community. :D

Hello everyone! I'm Colton. I'm an aspiring software engineer in my final 3 weeks of my bootcamp at Flatiron School in Seattle. I'm in the process of switching careers from Strength & Conditioning to a career in tech. Looking forward to being a part of the dev.to community!

Hey Colton, welcome to dev community! I just joined it myself too.

What areas of software engineering are you interested in?

Hey Lucas, nice to meet you and welcome as well!

In my Bootcamp we've learned both front and back-end pretty extensively, and I love them both. So I'd say ideally full-stack. That being said, I seem to be drawn more towards the front-end side of things, so if I had to choose one I'd say front-end. Since the job market is in a weird place right now, I'm also prepared to take what I can get and run with it!
