This North Fireside Chat's guest speaker will be Mallika Rao.
Mallika Rao loves solving difficult problems in tech. She takes both the Engineering and Leadership aspects of her job very seriously. Working for big companies and startups, she discovered that she is someone who is deeply curious and will put in whatever work it takes to satiate that curiosity. She is soon starting her new position as Software Engineering Manager at Twitter.
She applies the first principles and life theories that she loves formulating to her leadership. When she’s not working, she’s still working—on herself, building stuff in her backyard, or climbing a mountain. With a relentless pursuit of growth, she approaches every job like her first job. She believes that her team and people are the company’s first customers and walks this talk every day. Her mantra, inspired by stoicism, is that "happiness is in usefulness".
At the end of the chat, we will have a Q&A session with the audience.
