Any application that can be written in Javascript, will eventually be written in Javascript

I was re-reading an old blog The Principle of Least Power.

It became famous for its accurate statement that Any application that can be written in Javascript, will eventually be written in Javascript

Although that alone was funny on how true it is, one comment caught my attention

This was commented on 2007, 5 years before Microsoft launch Typescript that have become the De facto language for Javascript programmer.

The funny thing is, instead of being forced to used it, developer want to use it.
