Adding: Google Docs -> Skiff
Nice, I did not know about it.
Also: check out Disroot. They're a nonprofit with a ton of google alt services.
Looks awesome too ๐๐ป. Sharing your favorite link is totally on point with this post.
They have some great support - signal, mozilla! I wonder if Skiff will be open core or FOSS? ... Skiff blog mentions incremental open sourcing!
I have been starting to use Skiff. It is okay, still seems like its under active development, so needs some more polish.
Also, another one for Google Translate: Lingva Translate
Thanks. Never heard about it, did you test it?
Yes, I don't actually use it a lot like on a day-to-day basis, but it works fine. It's actually a front-end for Google Translate itself as it scrapes through it, and is inspired by NewPipe, Nitter, etc. Here is the repository.
ah ok I see how it works ๐
Here is another one.

Thanks for great post on the summary๐
I use Standard Notes instead of Google Keep and ProtonMail Calendar (beta) instead of Google Calendar.
I have been using Standard Notes for the last two years. It works well, but I still want something more feature rich. I haven't had time to try out FOSS alternatives lately, but I will keep shopping at some point.
Thanks for sharing, I'm less familiar with Google Keep and its alternatives but Protonmail Calendar works great.
I'm with Joplin for notes. Host my own server for it even.
Awesome post, thanks for sharing this list.
Another Great alternative to Youtube is LBRY Odysee. It's really good and doesn't censor things (Including potentially offensive content).
thanks.
Wonderful platform but I agree with you, too much garbage and offensive content. Is it the price of total freedom of speech? I don't know. Despite this problem, it seems more fair than YouTube's moderation, which sometimes cuts too much and encourages strike campaigns.
F-droid contains only open-source applications. If you need a full google play store alternative, you can use Aurora store.
P.S.- Installing Aurora store requires F-Droid though or can be downloaded from F-droid website
Never used it, will give it a try some day. Thanks for sharing.
You can add DeepL as replacement for Google Translate.
Maps - osmand, osm.io
I am interested in Brave, but I have stayed with Firefox because of Brave founder's history, views.
For advanced users thereโs a blocklist available at github.com/nickspaargaren/no-google
Analytics - plausible analytics
Android - eOS
Invidious is useful for anon YouTube browsing
