I actually didn't know that you could get a custom home screen on the VSCode home screen lol.
I actually don't see that home screen that often because when I open Code I opened with whatever file I'll be working, like the times when is not an actual code file is the screen of Code's new features or "What's new in this version"
Marquee and Xzibit collaborated to put a homescreen in your homescreen. JK! :-)
We designed Marquee to make the home screen experience not just more information but also more colorful and less stark. Also comes with neat features, like notes/todos, current weather forecast, etc. Wanna give it a try and let us know what you think, Juan?
Loved that Xzibit reference hahaha good times.
Imma put a note to remind me to use it this week. I'm curious about the todos part.
I set it to
None
, to make it work the way I wanted.Agreed. The default welcome page is an informative at times but a little stark. Take Marquee for a spin and tell us what you think, Pacharapol!
I dig the workspace-specific todos. I'm giving Marquee a shot for sure!
So much more to discover in Marquee. The workspace-specific todos are near the top of my favorite features too, Adnan.
this is the first time i know that you can customize your vs code home screen 🤦🏻♂️
Well, Jalal, technically it's one extension away. However, now you know installing Marquee unlocks that for you.
TIL VSCode has a home screen.
To me it's always been whatever file I worked on last 😂
Well, it does have one now... with Marquee! :-D
