CoinDCX interview process: How we hire

It's truly remarkable that I'm about to hit the two-year mark at CoinDCX.
We've been on a roll, shifting gears from Angular to Next, crafting our very own in-house design system, and building a stash of private npm libraries – and hey, it's all still in the making!

Now, here's the real scoop: At CoinDCX, we're on the lookout for frontend developers who are more than just coding machines.

We're not into the typical leetcoder scene; we want devs with that special touch for frontend finesse, the ones who make the web sparkle.

And If you're a backend developer, rest assured that the process is somewhat similar for you too, so feel free to drop your resume to my email mentioned at the end of this blog.

Our screening process is like a quest for the ultimate frontend hero – someone with a solid foundation in javascript and a pinch of data structures and algorithms is exactly what we are looking for(don't worry, we won't ask you tough ones here).

Excited! Looking to land a job at CoinDCX but don’t know what the process looks like?

I’ve got you covered.

In this blog, we will look at what goes on in each step of CoinDCX's frontend hiring process:

The process consist of 5 rounds:
1. Initial screening
2. Problem solving
3. Coding challenge
4. LLD
5. Fitment

I will focus on round 2,3 and 4 here.

Round 1: Initial screening

This one is like matchmaker for your skills and the position we are hiring for. Think of it as the first step in our hiring adventure – your resume gets the spotlight, and our team plays the judges.

you have previously worked on a startup, you have good presence in github or stackoverflow or you have some good projects under your belt. If any of these holds true you are definitely in the hiring game with us.

No we won't look at your educational background.

Round 2: Problem solving

In this initial round, we assess candidates on their problem-solving skills and fundamental understanding of JavaScript and CSS.

You can expect some output based questions but we will not judge just based on output but understanding behind it.

Tip for success: Demonstrate proficiency in core JavaScript concepts and CSS basics and I am sure you will move to next level of hiring game.

Round 3: Coding challenge

Now that we know you are a rockstar in JS we would love to see how you handle a coding challenge.

We will mostly be judging you on your react ecosystem knowledge, along with your well structured code.

Tip for success: Manage your time and prioritise tasks, this should do if you are well versed with React.

Round 4: LLD

This is going to be really interesting, as you would be solving real-world problems that we face on a daily basis — figuring out how to handle or build a solution used by 1.4cr+ users.

I can assure you it will be a fun round if you are a frontend wizard with a plethora of magic spells up your sleeve.

Tip for success: Show off your holistic approach while keeping scalability in mind.

Round 5: Fitment

We know we are hiring a great talent but at the same time we want you to be a perfect fit for our culture. We over me, Trust and respect are some of the most important traits which we want in our future colleague.

Tip for success: Emphasise your genuine interest in our products, showcase accountability, enthusiasm.

That's it! if you win this game you will be rewarded with a buddy followed by usual routine.

If you reached till here then I am pretty sure you are equally excited as I am while writing this and I can't wait more to hear from you.
