You know that moment a book grabs a hold of you and won’t let you go? Recently I experienced that amazing feeling as I started reading Why We Sleep - Unlocking The Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker, PhD. This book is an eye-opener and has helped me understand the importance of sleep in our lives.
For example, learning about the two factors Sleep pressure and circadian rhythm that regulate our sleep cycles and the impact they have on functions such as memory, learnability, and decision making.🤯 This should be required reading for everyone in the tech industry where lack of sleep is a badge of honor.
