The Fascinating Human Brain

It's quite amazing what the mushy stuff inside our skulls is capable of, given it's size, energy consumption, and estimated computational power. And at the same time, how nuanced it can be.

This almost exactly how a Quantum computer would compute, perhaps one could say that our brains in organic form use Shaws algorithm to a degree, and I reckon that degree is just below achieving extremely advanced neural networks, the kind found in clever animals. I reckon computers will get to a point where it will function like a clever animal, meaning it will know what to do to fix itself (kinda like how our minds tells us we need to eat l or patch up a cut). That's the furthest point of machine intelligence in electronic form.. Just below the pivotal point of achieving true Entanglement (like our human minds). The more intelligent the species, the better it can compute things at a quantum and entangled level or spectrum. I could go forever about how these computations may work, but it's all just speculation from thought expriement. I don't believe electronics will ever achieve true Quantum computations.. (I think we can give the illusion of it, like how we can't see that AC power actually switches on and off, the depends on the speed of computation from a CPU). Only a organic form of a computer can achieve true Entanglement (in my own opinion). Although I've been reading about IBM's new "neuromorphic" chips, they claim they will replace the Transistor... Interesting topic.. Still i don't believe any machine, which doesn't have some sort of self awareness can achieve true Quantum computations. To me it just crazy to think that electronics can interact with nature on that mathematical level.. Anyway that's just my thoughts on the subject of how to replicate what is inside our noggins! šŸ˜†

This is also a really interesting area to think about. I agree that traditional computing will never match the power and efficiency of an organic brain. But even if we wanted to, there are many questions that pop up. Is it useful to simulate the human brain? Since we've evolved to think in a way that's beneficial to our physical form, does it make sense for a machine? Perhaps a "self-aware" computer will evolve in a way we couldn't even comprehend. This whole idea is so complex and interesting - could talk about it for hours.

That's what my one friend said to me, would it even be useful? We wouldn't know what it would manifest as a self aware, well form or entity. Lol and that is part of the danger. If it were ever achieved that is.. We will never stop trying to get to that point, in a machine state. We are too curious, not to see what we would create.. Bloody humans. HaHa! ;-P
