For a personal website this probably doesn't matter, but if you're trying to sell a product or a service, then everything you do outward will represent an image that will either make people more or less likely to consume that service or product.
You can follow that to a tee and do everything possible to target specific customers individually or you can do nothing at all and simple have a simple way to reach the org for inquiries. Or anything between and outside that box. But anything you do (or don't) will still influence that image.
