ChatGPT has been making waves since its launch. Its exceptionally advanced natural language capabilities have ignited excitement around AI in just about every field imaginable, including project management.
Personally, I have found ChatGPT to be a game-changer as it greatly enhances my productivity across various tasks such as:
- Writing content
- Summarizing complex information
- Generating images
- Writing code
However, despite its many benefits as a generative AI model, I don’t actually recommend using ChatGPT for work purposes.
Some of the limitations of ChatGPT are:
- Anything entered into its chat interface can become part of its future training data. This means you could inadvertently expose confidential business information, trade secrets, and other sensitive content through your ChatGPT interactions.
- You could accidentally expose customer data which could violate laws such as the GDPR, HIPAA, and more. This is especially dangerous for companies in industries like finance and healthcare.
Another reason why we don’t use ChatGPT all that much is because you have to provide it with a lot of information and context. You have to explain a lot of things about your business before it can give you a quality result.
This can be time-consuming and frustrating.
To overcome these shortcomings of ChatGPT, we use monday dev. It is a project management tool created by monday.com for software development teams – but it also has monday AI built in!
monday AI's versatility as an assistant is unmatched because it has access to all your workspace data - it can quickly generate content like blog posts or emails while seamlessly integrating with existing data.
And it’s secure – which is super important for enterprise teams (and any company really) dealing with sensitive data, and that needs to remain compliant with data handling laws.
Below are some of the ways monday AI is improving our workflow…
- Operations: Writing internal knowledge base articles, composing incident summaries, and calculating yearly budgets. Assisting in creating compelling content, including blog articles and ad copy.
- Product management: Creating requirement templates, summarizing retrospective notes, and preparing release plans. Summarizing kickoff meetings, breaking down projects into tasks, and creating meeting agendas.
- Marketing: Writing blog posts, preparing campaign strategies, and creating content briefs.
- Human resources: Generating ideas for interview questions, summarizing HR calls, and creating onboarding plans.
- Sales: Composing emails to prospects, preparing Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, and summarizing call transcripts.
- Task generation: Quickly turning project ideas into actionable tasks.
- Summarization: Providing quick summaries of lengthy topics.
- Formula builder: Assists in crafting complex formulas that are suitable for both experts and beginners.
Unlike ChatGPT, which requires some training or input to function optimally, monday AI effortlessly works with the data you already have.
I definitely recommend incorporating AI tools like this into your product and project management.
In my eyes, the power of AI is unlocked when you integrate it into the applications you already use, not from prompting and prodding in ChatGPT.
Has ChatGPT improved your productivity and workflow? What about a tool you already use that has been upgraded with AI capabilities? If yes, how? Let me know in the comments below.
