Master the Power of Azure OpenAI with Microsoft Learn: Unleash Your Jedi

Open AI and Microsoft are two of the most important companies in the technology world. Each has a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning and have collaborated on numerous projects to advance this field.

Open AI was founded in 2015 by a group of investors and technologists, including Elon Musk and Sam Altman. Its goal is to develop and promote safe and beneficial artificial intelligence for humanity. The nonprofit organization has created some of the most advanced artificial intelligence models in the world, such as GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3), a machine learning platform that can generate human-like text as if written by a person.

On the other hand, Microsoft is a leading technology company that focuses on creating software and hardware. Founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, Microsoft is known for its Windows operating system, as well as for its office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In addition, Microsoft has invested in artificial intelligence and machine learning for years and has developed its own platforms and tools, such as Azure Machine Learning and Microsoft Cognitive Services.

Open AI and Microsoft began collaborating in 2016 when Microsoft invested $1 billion in the research company. Since then, Microsoft has started implementing GPT-3 in its solutions, such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams, and most recently integrating it with Bing.

A few days ago, while I was starting my well-deserved vacation (The cover photo features my daughters on our vacation), Microsoft announced the general availability of Azure OpenAI Service. The Azure OpenAI Service provides access to OpenAI's powerful language models via the REST API, including GPT-3, Codex, and Embeddings model series. These models can be easily adapted to specific tasks, such as content generation, summarization, semantic search, and natural language to code translation. Users can access the service through REST APIs, the Python SDK, or the web-based interface in Azure OpenAI Studio.
