AI Builder

AI Builder is a Microsoft Power Platform capability that provides AI models designed to optimize your business processes. It enables companies to use intelligence to automate processes and gain insights from their data in Power Apps and Power Automate. With AI Builder, you don't need coding or data science skills to access the power of AI.
Therefore, Power Apps and Power Automate have "democratized" artificial intelligence by providing an assistant-based interface to build and train our models. This facilitates the power of Azure Machine Learning and cognitive services without writing a single line of code or creating complex machine learning models.
Different AI models categorized into 4 pillars (Documents, Text, Structured Data, and Images)

AI Builder capabilities:

AI Builder capabilities

  • Documents, being able to extract information from documents, from personal cards, detect text in photos by OCR, from receipts and create our custom models to extract information from our forms and personalized receipts.

  • Second Pillar is about language and text, we all work with a lot of text, whether it is in our emails or messages of Teams or SMS and there is a lot of information, knowledge in those texts and we can configure AI and be able to perform an analysis to know if that message is from a client, if that same client is happy or not, using sentiment analysis, or if I have clients from multiple countries and I only speak Spanish I can use text translations to translate all those emails. Another very popular use is category classification, for example, I get a lot of emails and want to route sending them to the right person within my company. I can create an AI model to understand the content of the email and send it to the right person.

  • Then we have the third pillar, images where we can detect and count objects. We have many use cases, especially in retail, to perform merchandise counting on shelves, easily creating an AI model, taking a photo one could count, identify, and detect objects.

  • The last pillar of structured data, , when I have a sales database of a customer and wants to create an artificial intelligence model to learn the patterns of that data and predict future results, following the example of sales, we can predict if a customer is going to renew or abandon their subscription based on the historical data they have. In conclusion, we can predict and take appropriate action.
And all these AI functionalities can be used in our Power Apps and Power Automate projects thanks to AI Builder.
