Day 27 of My Learning Journey: Setting Sail into Data Excellence! Today's Focus: Maths for Data Analysis (Statistics Day -6)

STATISTICS FOR DATA ANALYTICS - 6

Measure of POSITION : -

QUARTILES
PERCENTILES
INTERQUARTILE RANGE

QUARTILES : -

It defines a particular part of a data set, meaning it determines how many values in a distribution are above or below a certain limit.

4 equal parts :- .
25 - Q1
50 - Q2
75 - Q3
100 - Q4

PERCENTILES :-

IT is a value below which a certain percentage of data lie.

X % of value are present under X percentile. ( X can be any value from 0 to 100. )

INTERQUARTILE RANGE

It is used to find the range between second and third quartiles, and gives the range of the middle half of a data set.

What are outliers?
It is an extreme value in a dataset, which can affect the central tendency.

IQR = Q3-Q1
