If you're looking to showcase your projects to the world and let everyone see what you've been developing, I've got some great news for you!
You can easily add your GitHub projects directly to LinkedIn and make them stand out with a preview image.
And the best part?
It's super easy and fast!
Just follow these simple steps:
1. Add a social media preview image on GitHub
- Go to your repository and click on "Settings"
- Then, navigate to the "Social preview" section and click on "Edit" to upload an image
- Repeat these steps for all the repositories you want to feature
2. Feature your repository on your LinkedIn profile
- Go to the "Featured" section of your LinkedIn profile (right below the "About" section)
- Click on the plus sign to see the different types of items you can feature
- Click on "Links"
- Enter the URL to your repository in the "Add a link" pop-up window, and then click "Add"
- Enter the title and description you want to be displayed for your project, and then click "Save"
💡Note:
Alternatively, LinkedIn now lets you add a preview image, which is pretty cool. However, if you want to share the link to your GitHub project on other media platforms, it's always nice to have a social media preview, so it looks more appealing.

I wouldn't suggest adding too many of those because, as you know, the featured items are limited, and almost no one clicks on the 'more featured items' section. Instead, I've done it in a more conventional way under the projects section. You can see the profile here. I've used the featured sections to showcase social profiles, especially GitHub & DEV.
Very interesting and useful
Cool, thanks for sharing it.
I got mine on LinkedIn and on GITHUB too😂
