my name is Michael, I live in Stuttgart, Germany. I thought I'd introduce myself and say hi to you all. I've been an avid reader of dev.to for a couple of months and really appreciate what you are doing here. I've already learned so much just by reading new posts here and I look forward to taking the next steps in my personal programming journey.
I'm here for the "love of programming". In my day job, I'm the head of the language department at a community college here in town. Right now we have a strong focus on language classes for refugees and migrants coming to Germany and we coordinate funding programs for language classes by the federal government. At night I love to code and I try to learn something new everyday time. I'm not a developer by profession but programming has become a fascinating part of my life. I currently focus on C# and Javascript, but I've also dabbled in Python and Java.
