My wife had very specific requirements for the structure of her blog urls so I built a custom blog platform in php. It's probably not very efficient but it was fun to do.
More recently: Python and Django.
During 2015 I discovered Python and loved the fact that I could write short scripts that accomplish cool things in a few lines of code.
I'm now getting my head around Django to build an app as my final project for Harvard's CS50 course that I took during July 2020.
projects and hacks
Working on a Django app as my CS50 final project.
Thinking of ways that I can leverage my 25+ years' experience as a tax consultant, combined with my love of programming, to bring about a very(!) late career change ... or die trying. Haha.
Interested in working on intermediate Python and/or Django projects to gain experience and build a portfolio of work. Front-end design work is not my strong suit, though I know my way around html & css pretty well.
