Machines imitating Humans

Image description
Just like how we try to imitate others while we grow, we see the world transform where machines imitate Humans and keep improving in their efficiency to perform tasks similar to that of Humans. The concept of Machine Learning shows the pace at which the world is moving. It makes the machines absorb information, which helps them make categorizations and predictions and gain insights about the data. We use machines in our daily lives, which we are very accustomed to, but we never recognize them as they are a part of our lives. These are all examples of machine learning, from our autocorrection on our phones to Grammarly letting us repeatedly change sentences. This equipment makes our lives easier and contributes hugely to the research in developing new technological innovations.

Machine learning uses algorithms to recognize the data entered; it also tries to keep updated with the changes emitted in this dynamic world. The most fascinating usage of machine learning for me is Google Maps, and I get a clear idea of when I reach the destination because the GPS tries to track the traffic by showing the road in a red line. The existence of face recognition has made life much easier and safer because it's easy to use, and no proxy can be taken for me. My mornings are filled with Spotify recommendations, escaping my time to change the songs constantly. Machine learning is fascinating in how a human creation can create things that are difficult to do manually. The current use of platforms like ChatGPT and Bard has revolutionized the world, where everything is available with just a click of enter. I don't see machines letting us live without their dependence, such as instances where, on the weekend, I asked ChatGPT what Indian food to eat for lunch. This shows how much we rely on these tools to make our lives simple where there is less thinking for humans. But what bothers me is not that our lives are becoming more easy but how much easier. We may depend too much on the machines, and they keep learning, and we end up unlearning what we should do. Skills that we had to remember are registered in our reminders, and our spatial intelligence of driving is replaced with self-driving cars. Instead of learning a new language or improving one's language, we use language translations of AI. Even though technology is needed in our lives, we still should remain as humans and make learning a part of our lives.
