2012 maxed-out MacBook Pro i7. That’s it—no external display, external HD, etc. It lets me work wherever I want, whenever I want. At my previous 2 jobs, I’ve actually given away my external displays so that I don’t have them cluttering my desk, on the rare occasions when I sat at it.
