Where do I start?

I'm interested in learning to code and I have paid for some course on Udemy. However, I would like some advice from this community. I want to learn python to be exact (for data science, data analysis and finance). Any advice??

Hi jjkeri,
Here are the steps from my own experience

1. Explore first:
Don't jump into a domain just because you see other people do it. Spend like a month or so in every popular and interesting topic out there in programming.
Ex: Try Web development for a month, Try app development next month, Try python after that, try machine learning, blockchain , linux etc., Etc.,
Note: make sure you find it interesting when you're doing them, else they're not worthwhile, it means you are meant for another domain.

2. Choose top 3 or less topics that you want to focus mainly on
When anyone builds an application, a lot of technologies go into one application. So having a knowledge in a variety of domains helps a lot.

3. Do projects
When you build something using this knowledge, you will definitely face challenges. If you love solving those challenges, it means it's the right domain for you.

_End note: Know many things, be an expert in few things. _

Hope this helps 🙂

These podcasts of mine might convey you about this in detail
