Currently experiencing that right now. Feels like I'm just shutting down with each passing day. Even the smallest task feels like a mountain to climb.

I know this is not always possible, if you can take a day of leave or a sick day, do it. Even if you can take 15 minutes every so often in the course of a day to put on some headphones and just tune out with a story, music, or even something like white noise. Do it without apologising or feeling guilty, your mental wellbeing is important.

Go for a walk, or a run! this is imo the best medicine.

Before my worst job ever, I had a system where, whenever I felt drained, I challenged myself to do something new. Go walk without a destination and try to complete the "mental map" of the city. Stop at a place you never saw before and eat. Spend the whole weekend at a cool place, away from everything.

It's like physical exercise. If you force your muscles, they will need time to repair. Try new exercises, do some stretches, etc.

Would recommend this book

Its import for us to live out core values at workplace as well. A lovely book by Annie McKee "How to be Happy @ work". My reflection and definitely resonates a lot with personal experience.. An unhappy mind at work would disengage and take away the fun, be a dead meat driving negativity and creating toxic environment

I am going to read the following two books at the same time as a means to balance one another out. I also vow to not only read, but DO what I learn from these titles.

It's quite difficult, but I deal with burnout by moving on and go walking, run and going to the gym. I feel that being active helps me to refresh my mind.
