To round the first part of the series off I thought I would include a video tutorial using the new Python client for InfluxDB 3.0.
Reflection
Its been a wild ride so far...
Learning the ropes of Pyarrow, Apache Flight and Parquet. When I set out on this journey I didn't imagine that would mean building and maintaining a Client library for InfluxDB 3.0 as a Developer Advocate. I must admit it was a refreshing feeling acting like a full time developer again.
I am excited to continue this journey learning different parts of the Apache Ecosystem within the columnar space, as InfluxDB 3.0's use cases expand so do mine.
Contribute
I would love to hear your thoughts on the client library; use it in anger, submit feature requests, write examples or even build features. A community project is only ever as good as the community around it.
