Many computers come with English as the default language, but sometimes we need a different language, especially when moving to a new area. If you forget to request a specific language before your computer ships, don't worry! You can easily change the default system language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll guide you through it.
Before we begin, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync between devices. To avoid any issues, it's best to turn this off before making changes. Here's how:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Accounts.
- Click on Sync your settings.
- Turn off the Language preferences toggle switch.
We can now change the language settings using the Settings application.
To change the default language for the entire system, continue with the following steps:
- Open Settings.
- Click Time and Language.
- Click Region and Language.
- Under Languages, click the Add Language button.
- Use the search box to find the language you want to use.
- Select a language, and then click the Next button.
- Check the Set as my Windows display language option.
- Check the additional features you want to install.
- Click the Install button.
- Under "Windows Display Language", make sure the new language is selected.
- Under Country or Region, select your region if it does not match your current region.
- In the right pane, click the Manage Language Settings option.
- In the Manage tab, click the Copy Settings button
- Under Copy Current Settings to, check the Welcome Screen and System Accounts and New User Accounts options.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button again.
- Reboot the device. For more computer tutorials you can come to my official website: https://www.hystou.com/ Visit the support board!
