There are many people working as a freelance web developer. As a front end web developer, how can we get some good projects to work on as a freelancer? Any tips?

There are some requirements if you are entering into a freelance world. I will not tell you to join any platform like upwork or fiverr for work, cause you are searching for good work. Although these platforms provide good work but the competetion is too high. What I did is something like this.
1) You should not be hasty about it, take your time and polish your skills. Be the best at your work.
2) join open source projects contribute to open source.
3) create a django looking portfolio site that can show case your skills properly.
4) go for remote jobs available on diffrent sites like stackoverflow. There are many big companies looking for remort work. When you start working remotly you will start connecting with people around the world that will eventualy lead you to the proper freelance world.
I really like the StackOverflow option. Its something which I haven't ever thought about. Thanks for your words.
Do you feel LinkedIn can be a good platform to find good freelance work opportunities?
