Introduction

Have you ever found yourself staring at a lengthy PDF document, wondering how you will summarize it? It can be overwhelming and time-consuming to go through each page and extract the key information. But fear not! Unlike ChatGPT, Odin has the ability to summarize documents has never been easier. This blog post will explore what Odin is and how it works. We’ll also dive into a simple -how-to-guide on using Odin to summarize PDFs.

What Is Odin (& How It Works)

As an AI language model, Odin is a computer program designed to understand and process natural language text. Its purpose is to assist users in various tasks, such as answering questions, providing information, and offering suggestions related to the questions possibilities are infinite. Thinking about how it works? Odin works on a vast amount of information, text, and documents that have been processed and stored in the database along with real-time access to the internet, which allows it to generate responses and answer questions based on what It has learned from these texts.

What Is The Knowledge Base

We have a ‘knowledge base’ option. Imagine a world where we can pick up a PDF from anywhere and give it to an AI, it can assist us in summarizing or analyzing that hefty PDF. That’s how simple and perfect the ‘Knowledge Base’ feature of odin works.

Let’s say you are a student working on holiday homework or writing a thesis on a lengthy topic; you have to go through all the vast amounts of information and PDFs on the internet individually. Imagine just with a few clicks; you’ve got all that information filtered and summarized.

How Knowledge Base Works

Summarizing PDFs has never been this easy. With Odin on your side, summarizing lengthy documents becomes a breeze! ChatGPT is an AI language model that generates natural language text responses to a given prompt or query. It does not have a built-in ‘knowledge base’ option like Odin, specifically designed for businesses to create and manage a repository of information for their customers. Odin’s ‘Knowledge base’ option is a tool designed for businesses to create and manage a repository of information for their customers. The ‘Knowledge base’ option allows users to organize their information in PDFs or web links into categories and create a hierarchical structure for easy navigation.

How To Use Knowledge Base To Summarize A PDF

Here are 4 simple steps on how to upload a PDF to knowledge base:

STEP 1 — Start with your Odin’s dashboard. Select the project on which you want to upload the PDF.

STEP 2 — Click on the ‘Edit Knowledge Base’ appearing on the left side of your screen.

STEP 3 — Click on the ‘Add More Resource’ on the extreme right.

STEP 4 — Now simply upload your desired PDF and press ‘Add’.

With these simple steps you can start summarizing or analyzing your PDFs.

Using The Example Of A Financial PDF
If you are wondering what to expect from Odin and how advanced it is to summarize your PDFs, here’s a perfect example. While summarizing PDFs is not available on ChatGPT right now, we have uploaded a 36-page hefty PDF on ‘The Future of FinTech Paradigm Shift Small Business Finance’ and asked Odin to summarize or brief on a specific topic from it, as you can see in image 1 that, Odin has summarized a 3-page content to 150 words. It’s more like you are chatting with the PDF!

But it is not limited to this only. Do you want to study on a specific topic for your exams? or are you preparing an impressive presentation on a single niche? Odin gets you covered here. In image 2 you can see how precisely and smartly Odin replies to another question from the PDF.

Conclusion

Odin has a knowledge base capability that enables users to access any PDF and easily create a concise and thorough explanation. With Odin, you can effectively summarize without slogging through dense text. You can always sign up to a free account to know more about Odin AI.

'Unlike ChatGPT, Odin has the ability to summarize documents'
ChatGPT can summarise articles (notta.ai/en/blog/can-chatgpt-summa...).
I have found Odin AI better, with uploading multiple documents to the Knowledge Base to be summarised. However, sometimes Odin AI does not recognise the article as present, as there seems to be a time delay.
