Advantages of Pursuing B.Tech Artificial Intelligence

The demand for data sciences, machine learning and artificial intelligence has prompted young minds to apply for advanced engineering programmes in emerging technology. As a recent finding implies, numerous Indian students are now enrolling for AI and ML courses in premier institutions like IIT. Computer science and engineering (CSE) have traditionally been the top-ranking JEE students' favourite choices, and the trend has changed this year.

Many universities and institutes now offer B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and diploma courses. This newly introduced course in some institutes noted that 60 out of 1,000 rankers opt for the course during B.Tech admissions. It is a sign that students have realised the potential of AI as a career prospect. So, here are the advantages of opting for this course -

  1. Rising technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are becoming a vital part of the curriculum as it assists in a strong foundation for students to stay connected in the evolving jobs market trends. The Artificial Intelligence and data science industry is already facing a shortage of skilled employees who have a high lookout for students specialising in these skills. This calls for the demand for qualified employees and that too in large numbers. In line with this shortage, many universities provide B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and other certification courses.

  2. The broad spectrum of Artificial Intelligence technologies like Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc., describes Artificial Intelligence's scope in India. In actuality, Artificial Intelligence applications range from innovations like face recognition software, robotics, smart personal assistants, gaming, speech recognition, vision recognition to support engines and many others. Artificial Intelligence backed up operations and mechanics help manage various spaces with lower risks, which is what is steering its demand forward. Government sectors like Education, Agriculture and Healthcare.

  3. Due to the different Artificial Intelligence applications, there is a wide variety of AI job positions and roles with respective salary packages. When talking about Artificial Intelligence's scope in India, an entry-level professional can earn around Rs. 6,00,000 per annum, whereas the mid-level and senior-level Artificial Intelligence salaries can exceed Rs. 50,00,000 in India, depending upon the profitability of the business. AI is still an evolving technology that needs a professional skill set. As the demand is rising, there is an apparent shortage of talented professionals in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI and ML) who can leverage the job openings. The lack of skilled experts in the field has undeniably impacted India's AI jobs' salary range. The payment in the area is directly proportional to the skill and experience of job aspirants.

  4. Considering a bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence is assured to open up the path to higher pay packages and challenging job roles in well-known companies, it is not surprising that Artificial Intelligence degrees are gaining more popularity than Computer Science.

Many IT professionals aspire to make a career in Artificial Intelligence technologies and look for alternatives to upskill and become experts. Even when the country saw a massive trend of job losses, Artificial Intelligence jobs were least affected. Businesses are already on the spot to create more healthy virtual work environments leading to increased demand for Artificial Intelligence professionals.
