Hello, Dev Community! π Today, we want to introduce you to a new, open-source projectβAndShare CMS. AndShare CMS aims to redefine the landscape of how content is curated, formatted, and distributed across various platforms. Let's dive right in!
What is AndShare CMS?
AndShare CMS is an open-source Content Management System (CMS) designed to empower network managers in curating and syndicating content across a multitude of distribution channels. It's akin to services like Zapier and IFTTT but offers a more focused approach towards content management.
Imagine this: Every git commit a LLM analyzes our commit message and code and both generates and syndicates a summary to all branded distribution channels using the appropriate lengths and formats.
We are pioneering this tool to make these systems a reality.
We understand that as the world turns, more and more content will be generated, improved, expanded on, shortened and etcetera by powerful LLMs like ChatGPT3.5 and ChatGPT4. We want our CMS asset to embrace this trend and direct it towards highly positive use cases.
Individuals/Hobbyist and SMBs alike will be empowered by frameworks like AndShare CMS that will bring massive amounts of control and power to its users to setup low overhead distribution systems for their content strategies.
And because we know AI is still not perfect, we are developing AndShare with the editor in mind.
Key Features
Technology Stack
- NodeJS: Powers the server
- NextJS/React: Powers the dashboard
- SQLite: Used as a database
- Electron: Helps run the CMS locally (CMS can still be hosted, too)
Modular Architecture
AndShare CMS is designed around two core extendable frameworks: Sensors and Syndication Models.
Sensor Framework
Sensors connect to third-party applications to listen for events. For instance, our Discord sensor monitors messages from certain roles or individuals and pass them to AndShare for further considerations.
Syndication Model Framework
These models take the data from sensors and transform it into the appropriate format for each distribution channel. For instance, a Twitter model would convert a message into a tweet-friendly format, complete with hashtags and mentions.
AndShare CMS: Customizable and Extendable
Developers can extend both the sensors and syndication models, making it a truly flexible and powerful platform.
Why self hosted?
- Developer-Friendly: AndShare CMS is built with popular JavaScript frameworks, making it easy for developers to dive in.
- Privacy-Focused: As it can be self-hosted, all your data remains in an environment you own.
- Extensible: Its modular architecture allows for easy extensions.
- Community: Due to the open source and extendable nature of the platform, users can rapidly develop their sensors and models, which will lead to sharing and co-development inside the GBTI community.
Pricing and Fundraising
AndShare CMS intends to operate on a GPL license and plans to introduce premium features to fund its development. The team is also exploring sponsorships, grants, and donations to support the project.
