How do you sync all your tools and projects and plugins etc?

I generally use a laptop on the go (Macbook Pro) and a desktop at the home office (Windows 10, may f around and install Linux later).

I'm looking for the easiest and most efficient way to synch all my tools, plugins, and work/projects so that I can seamlessly close my laptop at [PUBLIC LOCATION REDACTED] and pick back up easily when I get home.

Any advice?

I'm happy to just be linked to guides. You don't need to type it all up if you know of a good guide someone wrote up.
