So today I just saw my GitHub Profile after a Long time and it didn't look that good. It had been a long time since I Updated My Profile so,I decided to Improvise my GitHub Profile.

I am a Huge fan of Computer Games and RGB is the first love of a Gamer so I Kept the theme as RGB. I updated my Goals, made some new workflows, added new gifs and new animated Badges to make it look more lively.

I would love to have some feedback on my Profile, It can be of any type like suggestions or changes or even bad reviews.
It would mean a Lot if you gave your time and commented anything about it.

Thanks

It looks a little... geocities. Not meaning to be too negative, but I'm not a fan of the abundance of animations and emoji. I don't know what half those icons mean in the "skill set" section and don't understand why you have any in the "I'm a student!" section at all, they don't add anything.

The "currently learning" animated text field thing doesn't have an alt attribute so it's unusable by screen readers. The emoji in your bullet list will be read out as "seedling" and "dancers" and so on, which doesn't make any sense when combined with the following text.

I'm mostly concerned with accessibility issues but I also wonder who the audience is for this page. If you're trying to impress a future employer then I think it's going to need some tidying-up. If you're just trying to have some fun, though, then it's fine :)

In a different TIL completely, I didn't realise you could have followers on GitHub!

I have to agree with you that there are a lot of gifs and the skillset has a lot of unwanted icons. I will work towards improving my profile using all your suggestions.

Thanks for visiting and giving feedback 😊

Can´t say much more. After some time in internet you learn that less is more. I just recently learned about KISS (Keep it simple, stupid) and I personally thinks its applies to profiles and cvs. When you want to show everything at the same time nothing will stand out.

Ya I guess you are right there is a lot of stuff in there and a profile shouldn't be that complex simple does a better job at it, and thanks for letting me know about KISS😘.

It looks fun and it has a lot of thing I've never seen before on a github page. The problem I see is the lack of focus on your repos and git activity. Which is for me the purpose of the github user page.

The github user page is not meant to be a website. If you want to have stats and all that fun stuff, then build a site. But don't mix everithing up.

It's looks cool but for me there is too much going on, you can remove unnecessary things/gifs. If you still want to show them like me then simply use the <details> and <summary> tag. It reduces those extra distraction. .

You can take a look at my GitHub Profile for demo.

I somewhat agree with what other people have already said. It does look pretty cool and flashy but it's maybe not the best when it comes to understanding your skills and the projects you have worked on. I actually believe that portfolio websites are optional now and that its fine to use a GitHub readme page as your portfolio.

The main thing that is missing from yours is having an emphasis on the projects you have worked on and the skills that you have in relation to those projects. Also all those animations can become nauseating if you look at them too long see for yourself.

Animations are fine in moderation but you don't want too much of it otherwise thats all people are going to think about and you really want them to know about your projects and skills.
