April was all about Gamedev.js Jam 2024 : from last minute preparations, through explanations of all the optional challenges (including brand new js13kGames one), the actual start and the theme announcement, to showcasing all the entries submitted this year, and encouraging voting as the winners will be announced in a couple of days from now.
Games
I’m this close from doing something, you have to believe me!
Writing
Published a few news items on the Gamedev.js’ main page before the Jam started: about Earth’s Greatest Defender game, Roguelike Development with JavaScript book, and Bullet Bunny game.
I was active on my Polish parenting blog with Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch game review, Minecraft: Heroes of the Village board game review, and Lego Stitch figurine retrospect on the movies.
Also, published 8 news items on the NeuroshimaHex.pl fan site, in Polish as well.
Design
Ewa started working on the js13kGames history eBook, although not sure this project will be delivered eventually.

Other
Both Phaser World and Gamedev.js Weekly newsletters are sent out regularly, just so you know.
Plans for the next month
Announcing Gamedev.js Jam 2024 overall winners, sending out prizes, printing Badlucky t-shirts for the js13kGames challenge winners and shipping them when they arrive, and then hopefully some coding.
The big announcement should finally be revealed in the coming days.
