- Saturday : Got up early so I could finish prepping for the radio show. I've been slacking on it during the week because I was focusing on completed my side project to launch. Put together the show and went back to coding. Then it was time for the show. As usual, had a great time. Always good to have time set aside to do something I enjoy. Sunday : Stayed up pretty late to put the finishing touches on my side project. Went to bed around 4am to get a couple of hours of sleep and then get ready to set up to go live at 9am. Definitely woke up at around 8am. haha Launched the site, did 2 3-hour segments where I would be live streaming for 15 minutes each hour. A coworker logged on to take part in the study session. I even had a person from Germany that I met at a conference come on and do a lightning talk on the Web Speech API. He showed some demos and how we can help contribute to make it better. At the end of everything, I have 6 around 15 minute videos done. Everything worked pretty great. I had a weird issue where my mic audio got cut out, but luckily my coworker was watching and let me know. Just a couple of little bugs, but for the most part, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I was super tired after and just watched the first epsiode of "Loki" and then "Kevin Can F Himself" and "Rick and Morty" Pretty successful Sunday.
Professional : Today, I had a couple of meetings. One was with my team and had a good discussion. Then I met with the engineering team to go over the demo application to incorporate some changes in the new version. Good thing I did because they were able to show me to do something that I hadn't seen which made things easier. I'm definitely going to make sure I put it in the documentation. It was a good meeting.
Personal : So yeah, pretty happy with how Sunday turned out. I honestly didn't expect anyone to show up. Especially since I didn't really promote it. Looking forward to doing more and adding other features to it.
Now that the side project has been launched, I can work on other stuff during that time, because the point of the side project is to have time committed to consistently work on things. There's a couple of features I want to add and then I'll be working on building out my van. I think I may have figured out the last hurdle to be able to have viewers create little highlight clips of the live videos that they can then share. Hoping to have that completed by next Sunday. Going to work on it little by little and then I can talk about it on the show.
