- Saturday : I was having a pretty good show. Things were working fine, no technical issues. I should have known things were going too well, because beyond my control a couple of things knocked my off air. Things will fall apart if you aren't focusing on them. Terrible. Sunday : Did my study sessions. Didn't get as much as I would have liked because I got stuck on this bug with my current side project. I tried so many things and it just won't work. I did my other tasks, but I thought I would have gotten farther on the project.
Professional : Today I think is a holiday in Europe so it was pretty quiet. Thought I would get some work in to start the week off productively, but got caught up in helping some folks with some things. One person was running into a bunch of errors, but wouldn't really explain what they did to get the errors. I kind of had to keep asking questions to get even a little bit of information back. They were trying to follow along with a blog post that uses a certain platform, but they had no previous experience with the platform. It seemed like they kind of skipped steps in the blog post or didn't complete them all the way. It took like 3 tries for them to give me the full output from a terminal command that they just needed to copy and paste to make it work. I'm not sure if they were in a rush for some reason. After a long while, I had to recommend that they start over from scratch and make sure to follow every step fully. Then I was discussing some things with another person concerning a tutorial and getting some feedback.
Personal : So...still stumped about this error. I think my only option is to try and build the endpoint somewhere else and then call it from my project. I still need to book hotels for my stay in Japan after the conference. I also need to pack. So much stuff still to do, but I keep banging my head against this side project. haha.
Going to eat dinner. Do laundry and ironing along with start packing. Need to start looking at and booking hotels and things to do in the cities I want to visit in Japan. I did upgrade my flight to Japan so I could have more room. It's like a 12 hour flight and I want to try and be as comfortable as possible. I only paid to be upgraded on the part of the flight that's actually going to Japan. For the other connecting flights I kept the same. I couldn't see paying for the super baller seat, but hopefully I'll get upgraded to the baller seat on my flight back. I put my name on a waitlist. We'll see. Okay, going to get started. I'll probably save the coding stuff for last since I can do that late into the night. I want to spin up that endpoint and add the stuff I need generate credentials and then hook it up to my project and make sure it still works and hopefully fixes my issue. If not, I'm screwed! haha
