Django React Deployment to Heroku

I want to develop web app using Django + React. But I don't know how to use it together.

I want to deploy my web app later on Heroku, and I don't how to make it in one plan. One deployment only.

Is there any alternatives instead using React for front end with Django?
Is it worth it just by using Vanilla JS and jQuery for DJango front end?

Will in the future DJango upgrade the templating system like React?
