We've got a lot to talk about this week on DevNews!

Here are some of the stories we got into

  • Cloudflare's announcement that they have created a new DNS standard in conjunction with Apple and Fastly (called Oblivious DNS) in an effort to make your internet browsing more private.
  • Facebook's monopoly and antitrust lawsuits by The Federal Trade Commission and more than 40 U.S. states

We were also joined by two amazing guests who spoke with us about a few developer-related stories

  • Hector Monsegur, security researcher and former blackhat hacker, who joined us to shed some light on a major hack that breached several government agencies, including the U.S. Treasury and Commerce departments.

  • Penelope Phippen, Tech Lead at Stripe, and a Director at Ruby Central who chatted with us about Ruby 3.0 (including spicy takes on types and some of the most exciting things we can anticipate.)

You can follow DevNews to get episode notifications and listen right in your feed — or subscribe on your platform of choice! Plus, if you leave us a review, we'll send you a free pack of thank-you stickers. Details here.
